PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly separate a paper sheet one by one from a bundle of highly adhesive paper sheets, and to stably feed the separated sheet.;SOLUTION: This paper sheet separation mechanism 30 for separating the paper sheet 11 one by one from the bundle of the paper sheets 10 and feeding the separated sheet to a downstream processing section is provided with: a sucking/peeling means 31 sucking an edge part of the paper sheet 11 and peeling it from the bundle of paper sheets 10; a separation means 32 separating the paper sheet 11 with its edge part peeled from the bundle of paper sheets 10, and a conveying means 33 conveying the paper sheet 11 separated from the bundle of paper sheets 10 toward the downstream processing section. The sucking/peeling means 31 is provided with a suction head 34 sucking the edge part of the paper sheet 11, and the edge part of the paper sheet 11 is peeled from the bundle of paper sheets 10 by twisting motion of the suction head 34.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
