The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of the amphiphilic copolymers by controlled radical polymerization, in the presence of a raft (reversible addition fragmentation transfer). The copolymers of the invention have the polymolecularity indices low, the viscosity in solution, and are easily soluble in alkaline medium.
