The present invention relates to a star (314) for a rotary machine for packaging of containers (302), the star (314) including: - a base (304), - a wheel (306) secured to the base (304) and has at least one recess (316) intended to receive a container (302), and - for the or each recess (316), the closure means (322) intended to close in part, said indentation (316), the star (314) being characterized in that the closure means (322) are constituted by a deformable elastic element which extends across the recess (316) considered.
