The device (6) has communication interfaces (31, 32) receiving alarm signals from alarm sensors (5) e.g. fire detection sensors. A database (4) stores nearest connection between orientation luminaires (2) and the sensors. A path determining module (3) generates a display command, so that each luminaire indicates the passage belonging to the path. A graphical interface displays a representation of different zone of a building and passage between the zones. An input interface allows a user to activate displayed zone and switch the module from an operating mode to another operating mode.
