This material separator is designed to prevent clogging and allow efficient operation of the lifting station or pumping station without the need to increase the power of the associated pump or pumps. For this purpose its shape is optimized to reduce turbulence and it is equipped with a set of two valves (40, 50) associated respectively with the conduit (12) for the arrival of wastewater and the conduit (34) connected to the pump, the latter ensuring effective retention of solids and in particular wipes and allowing an equally effective training of these solids during the discharge of water by the pump.
