The present invention relates to a chopping device of the straw plant, in particular of a straw, hemp, to an agricultural machine for harvesting, comprising the cutting members (13, 14) adapted to cut the straw, vegetable, respectively mounted on a stator and a rotor, intended to be driven in rotation about an axis of rotation (x). According to the invention, the cutting members mounted on the rotor (5) consist of two cutting blades (13, 14), on the one hand, extending from a median transverse plane orthogonal to the axis of rotation (x), respectively on either side of said median plane, and on the other hand, offset by an angular value at least substantially equal to 180° relative to the axis of rotation (x).
