The sign (1) has a case (2) comprising a front surface (9) in which location indications (4) e.g. street name, are formed in relief, where the indications permit the passage of light between interior and exterior of the case. A battery is housed in the case, and a solar panel (3) is connected in order to recharge the battery. A light source is supplied by the battery for lighting the indications by the interior of the case. A translucent plate is stuck at the interior of the case, and electroluminescent LEDs are arranged in the light source.
