Detecting B. anthracisspore, in a sample, by culture, inducing secretion and then detecting the presence of protective antigen in the culture medium, comprises: culturing a sample in the presence of serum for at least 6 hours; and carrying out an immunological test comprising the immunological detection of protective antigen, on a sample or obtained entire culture. Independent claims are included for: (1) a device for immunochromatographic test for detecting the presence of protective antigen, in a sample, comprising a porous membrane provided: by a conjugated area in which a first antibody directed against protective antigen complexed with a marker is immobilized, an area for detecting in which a second antibody directed against protective antigen is immobilized, and a control zone in which an agent for capturing the first antibody directed against the protective antigen or an agent for capturing the marker is immobilized; and (2) a kit for detecting in a spore sample of B. anthracisor protective antigen, comprising at least one container containing animal serum, and at least one means for the immunological detection of protective antigen.
