The membrane has an inorganic porous support (1) made of carbon, silico aluminate, silicon carbide and/or metallic oxide, and an active inorganic separation phase (5) e.g. microfiltration phase, whose average pore diameter determines a cutting threshold of the membrane. The separation phase corresponds to a porous support zone whose average pore diameter is reduced due to the presence of inorganic particles (7) connected together and to the support by bridges (10, 11). An independent claim is also included for a method for fabricating a membrane.
