The seat has a seat adjustment control (5) e.g. pressure-activated button, arranged at a front part of a base (2) of the seat. The adjustment control is placed in the middle of width of the base. An offset control (6) controls starting of a vehicle, and is arranged in the middle of the width of the base. The base has notches (8) at its corners such that a protrusion (3) of the base carrying the adjustment control is projected towards the front of the seat, where length of the notches is comprised between one fourth and three fourth of length (d6) of the base.
