The method involves recording a message to be restored in a resource accessible by a destination terminal, and generating a link to access the resource. A warning message containing the link is transmitted to the terminal along a communication protocol. The resource containing the message to be restored is transmitted to the terminal along another communication protocol upon reception of an access request from the terminal based on the link, where the other protocol is different from the former protocol. The rich message contains multimedia data such as text, video, image or music data. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a computer program product comprising a set of instructions for implementing a method for management of messages (2) a storage unit for storing a computer program comprising a set of instructions (3) a server comprising a transmission unit for transmitting a message.
