The assembly has vertebral screws (V) penetrated into two vertebrae, and a connection unit for connecting the screws. The connection unit has two rings (64) defining two eyelets for passage of the screws. Each screw is articulated with respect to opposite walls of corresponding eyelet. A spring plate (61) connects the rings, and is bent for offering controlled resistance to the connection, during connection of adjacent screws. A positioning unit is formed by fingers (61') and notches (64') for selectively positioning the spring plate on one of the rings.
