The device has a metal surface heat exchanger positioned at the level of a combustor or a fume evacuation pipe (2) along its geometry profile, and metal tubes (3) that are bent along a given profile, where diameter of each tube ranges from 4 to 12 mm. The metal surface heat exchanger captures heat present in air from a heat source e.g. chimney or insert (1), and restoring the heat to coolant e.g. water, oil or glycol water. A thermal acquisition surface and a thermal restoration surface are determined based on length and the diameter of the tube.
