Lidding product (20), intended to be sealed on at least one annular sealing surface (4) which surrounds the orifice (2) of a container (1), made from a lidding sheet comprising a support layer (11) of a fibrous material comprising predominantly plant fibers and a multilayer structure (16) comprising on one of its faces an adhesive layer (12) and on its other side a sealing layer (15) , characterized in that said sealing product is stamped so as to produce a relief (24) whose shape is such that its base (21) follows, at least discontinuously, an outline close to that of the inner edge of said annular sealing surface, the structure of the lidding sheet further comprising an intermediate layer (13) of a plastics material having a good mechanical strength, being capable of plastic deformation, and whose average thickness is such that it gives the entire op product cerculage malleability and resistance sufficient so that it can be both stamped to the desired shape and peeled without tearing.
