The workbench (1) has legs (3) supporting a centrally hollowed load supporting plate (2) that is provided with rolling units e.g. rollers or wheels, where each rolling unit is partially projected from a load supporting face (8) of the supporting plate to allow displacement by supporting load at a surface of the supporting plate. The rolling units are organized into two groups of rolling units. Each rolling unit (5A) of one group is provided with a rotational axis orthogonal to an axis of rotation of each rolling unit (5B) of another group of rolling units. The centrally hollowed load supporting plate is provided with rectangular or quadrangular shape.
