The present invention relates to an English cane comprising a cane head (2) comprising an elongated support provided in the upper part with an ante-brachial support means (4) and in the lower part of a handle (3) and a support tube (1) on which the cane head (2) is mounted, characterized in that it comprises means (7) for damping the forces exerted by the user and arranged between the support tube (1) and the cane head (2). The invention will find its application as a walking aid device, particularly for medical use.
