The method involves acquiring operating parameters of a motor vehicle (1), and calculating a target torque (Ccib) based on part of operating parameters to measure measured angular speed on an inlet shaft connected to an outlet shaft of a clutch, where the operating parameters comprise resistance effort (Fres), engaged speed ratio (alpha) and vehicle speed (Veh). A control set point (Ccor) is deduced based on the measured angular speed. The clutch is controlled based on the control set point. An adjustment torque (Caju) is calculated.
