The method involves establishing a communication between a master communication unit and a slave communication unit of an electric apparatus connected to the electromagnetic actuator. An operating electronic label of the electric apparatus connected to the electromagnetic actuator is read using radio-frequency identification (RFID). An electrical current set point provided to the electromagnetic actuator is determined based on the number and nature of the electric apparatus connected to that the actuator. The electromagnetic actuator is controlled with a calculated adapted electric output. An independent claim is also included for an activating assembly for implementation of the method for controlling an electromagnetic actuator, comprising a main communication unit.
