The method involves obtaining a list of error positions from a packet received through a communication channel. The obtained list is adjusted by removing positions that do not correspond to error positions in the packet. A symbol of another packet corresponding to a deleted position of the list is marked, where the latter packet is received through the communication channel. The latter packet is decoded (605) according to the marked deleted symbol.
