The method involves transmitting a request providing access to a service provided by a terminal (4) securely in an Internet protocol information transmission network by a user terminal (2) to an authentication server (6) interposed between the terminals. Transaction for the information transmission is established between the terminals, and a signature uniquely identifying the transaction and a timestamp capsule comprising timestamp data relative to beginning and end of the transaction is generated. The signature and the timestamp capsule are stored in information storage units (12). An independent claim is also included for a system for authenticating transaction for transmitting information between a user terminal and a terminal in an Internet protocol information transmission network.
