The system has a portable apparatus (1) i.e. wireless headset, provided with an audio signal receiving unit and an audio signal restoration unit. The portable apparatus comprises earphones arranged near an ear of a user. A storage base (2) for receiving the portable apparatus comprises a transmission unit for receiving an audio signal from the portable apparatus and transmitting the audio signal toward a sound restoration apparatus i.e. audio system. A detection unit detects presence of the portable apparatus on the base. The base has a male receptacle cooperating with a female receptacle.
