The device has a fixed part (42) fixed with respect to a rolling support. A sliding block (46) is moved with respect to the fixed part in a sliding plane and supports parts of a connector. Guiding and displacement units guide and displace the sliding block with respect to the fixed part authorizing a transverse clearance according to a direction perpendicular to translatory movement of a removable plate with respect to the rolling support. A centering unit correctly aligns the parts of the connector.
