The method involves actuating variation of note signal toward a new note level (135) for a note changing and exciting contact. A canalized component of a harmonized tonal signal is modulated at harmonic frequency i.e. synthesis frequency, from the new note corresponding to a harmonic order different from another harmonic order of preceding synthesis frequency (132) of the canalized component. A synthesized audio signal is produced by mixing the harmonized tonal signal and a contact audio signal of the note changing and exciting contact. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for synthesizing an audio signal (2) a recording medium for recording a computer program comprising a set of instructions for implementing a method for synthesizing an audio signal (3) a computer program comprising a set of instructions for implementing a method for synthesizing an audio signal.
