The device (1) has a support (2) including a peripheral shoulder (9) provided with a rib (10) and grooves (16), and a central part carrying an LED (18) emitting light toward front. An LED cover (3) is partly made of a material that allows passage of the light, and has a dome (11) provided with a rib (15). The ribs and the grooves are arranged such that an annular space radially oriented toward outside is formed between the shoulder and the dome when the support and the cover are in coupled position, so as to receive an edge of a traversing passage (5) of a mounting plate (4) in the space.
