The device (DC) has control units (MC) arranged at a distance lower than threshold in an event of reception of information signaling and receiving another information signaling of displacement of a motor vehicle (V) at a speed lower or equal to another threshold for controlling operation of electric equipments e.g. lighting device (DE) and windscreen wipers (EG), in a minimal operating mode so as to save energy consumed by the electrical equipments. The control units are arranged to utilize the former threshold at distance equal to 3 meter. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an on-board computer for a motor vehicle (2) a motor vehicle.
