PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for predicting a long term treatment effect (prognosis) of a patient with ulcerative colitis treated with CAP, a program for executing the method, and a device.;SOLUTION: The method is for predicting the prognosis in the case of executing cytapheresis in a patient with ulcerative colitis, and the method for predicting the prognosis after executing the cytapheresis includes: a step of applying input factors including at least a history of hospitalization and a history of surgery and output factors related to the presence/absence of surgery after executing the cytapheresis to an artificial neural network to perform learning; and a step of outputting the necessity of the surgery in the case of executing the cytapheresis by operating the artificial neural network when the input factors are input.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
