PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve diagnostic precision of pathology diagnosis by acquiring a dyeing image and a spectral imaging image using the same sample without changing a conventional dyeing-premised pathology diagnostic process.;SOLUTION: There is provided a spectrum extraction method including: steps S22, S23 of acquiring a first spectral data set having a spectroscopy spectrum defining a dyeing pigment structure present in a dyed biological sample and a second spectral data set having a spectroscopy spectrum containing a biological sample, a dyeing pigment, and other contents; a step S24 of selecting a dyeing condition having a spectroscopy spectrum approximating the first spectroscopy spectrum data set most from a database; a step S25 of selecting a spectroscopy spectrum of a dyeing pigment corresponding to the selected dyeing condition from a spectroscopy database; a step S26 of generating a spectroscopy reference; and a step S27 of removing spectroscopy spectra of the dyeing pigment and contents from the second spectral data set through mathematical processing using the spectroscopy reference.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
