PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink refill device that can refill a writing implement with a consumed liquid ink by a simple method without decomposing a shaft of the writing implement and is able to reduce risks such as jetting or leaking of the ink from a connecting part during refill, and to provide a writing implement set.SOLUTION: The writing implement comprises: an ink refill device including a refill nozzle 1 and a refill ink tank 2 storing refill ink 3; a shaft 130 with an ink tank 133; a valve mechanism 7 for discharging ink; and a writing part 4. The refill ink tank 2, the refill nozzle 1, and the shaft 130 are connected to one another after the writing part 4 is detached. Thereby the second channel 302 of the valve mechanism 7 is opened to communicate with the ink refill passage, thus refilling the writing implement with the refill ink 3.
