PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electricity storage device capable of certainly releasing the inner pressure of a container applied when gas is generated, while ensuring the reliability of the container made of a metallic laminated film.SOLUTION: A lithium-ion capacitor 10 as an electricity storage device is equipped with a boring device 60 having a blade supporting body 61 and a blade member 62. The blade supporting body 61 is attached and fixed while inserting a part of an outer peripheral edge of a container 51 made of a metallic laminated film therein. The blade member 62 is supported by the blade supporting body 61, and disposed at a position on a center part side than a heat-sealing portion 52 in the container 51. When gas is generated, the blade supporting body 61 is pushed out by the thermally deformed container 51 and moved in an outer peripheral direction of the container 51. The blade member 62 moves with the blade supporting body 61 to tear the container 51.
