PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device response speed calculation system and a response speed calculation method capable of calculating an accurate response speed even when a backlight is pulse-driven.;SOLUTION: A response speed calculation system comprises: a first light source being pulse-driven; a second light source for emitting light in a wavelength range which is different from a wavelength range for the first light source; a display part for transmitting light emitted by the first light source and changing the amount of transmission according to an input image signal to display an image; a measurement part that is attached to a display side of the display part to measure the amount of the light emitted by the second light source and transmitted by the display part; and a response speed calculation part for calculating a response speed of the display part based on the result of measurement by the measurement part.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
