PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recovery method of valuables which can recover the valuables such as cobalt from a lithium ion secondary battery with a high recovery rate, a small amount of impurities such as an iron mixed in recovered materials including valuables, and as well as easy steps.SOLUTION: A recovery method of valuables from a lithium ion secondary battery includes: a roasting step of obtaining a roasted material by roasting the lithium ion secondary battery including a valuable in a metallic battery case; a separation step of separating a content including the valuable from inside the metallic battery case by agitating the roasted material with a liquid; and a screening step of obtaining a recovered material including the valuable by sieving the content and metallic battery case separated in the separation step.
