PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a block for algae-growing members capable of efficiently culturing a great amount of brown algae or the like, an algae-growing member, and a method for growing algae.;SOLUTION: There is provided a block for algae-growing member comprising a block body on at least one surface of which an attachment part capable of attaching the spores of algae or the like is provided. The attachment part is formed from a roughened surface of the block body, and when multiple block bodies are circumferentially laid side by side putting the attachment part on an upper face, the block is formed so that the upper face becomes one continuous face, and no interspace generates in the side at which the block bodies contact each other. In the block body, through-holes are provided to open on a pair of facing surfaces other than the attachment part-provided surface.
