PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating machine vibration monitoring system and monitoring method in which a determination criterion for the presence/absence of abnormality or deterioration can be easily set for each rotating machine.;SOLUTION: A rotating machine vibration monitoring system includes vibration detection means (1) which detects vibration of a rotating machine, data processing means (4) which performs frequency analysis on vibration waveform data of the vibration detected by the vibration detection means, frequency band extraction means (5, 6) which separates the vibration waveform data on which the frequency analysis has been performed into vibration waveform data of a plurality of frequency bands and calculates a vibration value of the vibration waveform data of each of the frequency bands, determination threshold value setting means (9) which sets a determination threshold value to be used for determining a degree of state change of the rotating machine on the basis of a vibration response property of the rotating machine for each of frequency bands, state determination means (7) which compares the vibration value of each of the frequency bands with the determination threshold value of each of the frequency bands to determine the degree of the state change of the rotating machine, and display means (11) which displays the state of the rotating machine determined by the state determination means.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
