PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information reader and image reader, capable of connecting another information reader with an existing information reader without remodeling the existing information reader and capable of independently using each of the information readers or using them as one information reading unit.SOLUTION: The present invention includes a first information reader (flatbed scanner 10) which is connected to an information processor (PC 40) and reads the information of a sheet D positioned in a reading region (glass 11), and a second information reader (sheet feed scanner 1) which is connected to the first information reader and reads an image of the sheet D to be conveyed.
