PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing method for a plant diagnostic system which can reduce loads of a monitor and a user who are engaged in diagnosis and perform correct diagnosis in a short time, and a plant diagnostic system.;SOLUTION: An information processing method for a plant diagnostic system 10 includes: a plant information transmission step s110 in which a plant facility side server 28 transmits plant information to a monitoring facility side server 44 via a communication network 20; an inquiry form transmission step s310 in which the monitoring facility side server 44 creates an inquiry mail for requesting provision of additional information necessary for diagnosing a plant facility and transmits the inquiry mail to the plant facility side server 28; an answer extraction step s340 in which the monitoring facility side server 44 extracts the additional information from an answer mail including the additional information; and a diagnostic step s350 in which the monitoring facility side server 44 diagnoses the plant facility based on the plant information and the additional information.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
