OPTICAL SORTER AND METHOD FOR SORTING BY OPTICAL SORTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical sorter which can efficiently recover nondefectives and to provide a method for sorting objects to be sorted by the optical sorter.;SOLUTION: The optical sorting section of the optical sorter comprises an optical detection means which detects objects to be sorted, a discrimination means which discriminates the objects into three groups of nondefectives, defectives, and intermediates other than the nondefectives and the defectives by comparing the signal detected by the optical detection means with two threshold values comprising a nondefective threshold value which discriminates nondefectives among the objects from the others and a defective threshold value which discriminates defectives among the objects from the others, a sorting out means which sorts out the objects discriminated into the three groups into the respective groups according to the results of discrimination by the discrimination means, and a discharge means which separately discharges the objects sorted into the groups by the sorting means according to the respective groups, and the objects which have been sorted as the intermediates in the optical sorting section are transferred to the optical sorting section and sorted again.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
