PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sulfur deposition state determination method with which a sulfur deposition state in a sulfuric acid electrolyte can be determined promptly and accurately, a sulfur deposition state determination apparatus using the determination method, and a sulfuric acid electrolytic system having the determination device.;SOLUTION: A sulfur deposition state determination apparatus includes an active electrode 3a and a reference electrode 3b in contact with a sulfuric acid electrolyte, a potentiostat 4 which sweeps a potential of the active electrode 3a with respect to the reference electrode 3b and measures a response current in that case with the passage of time, and a determination unit 5 in which, upon receiving potential information of the active electrode 3a and a measurement result of the response current by the potentiostat 4, on the basis of a reduction current while the potential of the active electrode 3a with respect to the reference electrode 3b is a reduction potential, and variation with the passage of time in a correlation with the reduction potential, a sulfur deposition state in the sulfuric acid electrolyte is determined.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
