PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of inhibiting scale in a versatile manner for a metal pipe surface constituting a cooling water piping or the like.;SOLUTION: Formation of scale having a main component of calcium carbonate is inhibited by forming a coating comprising a cationic ion conductive resin material on a contact surface of a metal member with water. For example, a copper pipe is dipped into a solution obtained by diluting a room temperature curing silicone coating material to 20 times for 5 minutes, dried for 24 hours at a room temperature to form an underlayer, then dipped into a solution obtained by diluting a resin material having a main component of a methyl chloride salt of dimethyl amino ethyl methacrylate to 20 times by ethanol for 5 minutes, dried for 24 hours at a room temperature to form a coating of a resin material with a main chain of a polymer including an indispensable component of a methyl chloride salt monomer unit of the dimethyl amino ethyl methacrylate.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
