PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly determine its own position on the basis of features maintained in a database while preventing its own position from being determined on the basis of features that are not maintained in the database.SOLUTION: An own position determination system comprises: an estimated own position information acquisition part 1 that acquires estimated own position information; a photographed image acquisition part 3; a feature information acquisition part 4 that acquires target feature information of a target feature for image recognition from a feature database 21f; an image recognition part 6 that performs image recognition of the target feature; a position information correction part 9 that corrects the estimated own position information on the basis of an image recognition result and the target feature information; an erroneous recognition possibility determination part 7 that determines the presence or absence of a possibility of erroneous recognition; and a correction necessity determination part 8 that determines the necessity of correction by means of the position information correction part 9. The correction necessity determination part 8 determines that correction by means of the position information correction part 9 is unnecessary if it is determined that there is a possibility of erroneous recognition.
