PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for automatically managing use authority management according to entering/leaving by performing visible light communication to make visible light such as the illumination of a conference room transmit a room identification signal unique to every room, and make a portable device which can be brought in the conference room detect the room identification signal included in the visible light.;SOLUTION: Disclosed is a visible light communication system to be used for a use authority management system configured by connecting a portable device (6) which can be brought in a room including a room display detection part (6a), a room identification display part (7) for transmitting a room identification signal unique to every room, and an authentication server (2) including a management list (2a) in which the use authority of the portable device is registered in association with personal ID and the room identification signal via a network (4), in which the personal ID is determined based on the management list so that the use authority of the portable device can be permitted, and the room identification signal detected by the room display detection part is determined based on the management list so that the use authority of the portable device can be permitted.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
