PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a producing method capable of forming anodized porous alumina having a high regularity of micropore arrangement with excellent reproducibility, and to provide the anodized porous alumina produced by the method.;SOLUTION: The method for producing the anodized porous alumina is directed to form the anodized porous alumina having a regular micropore arrangement by using an aluminum material having a copper concentration of a prescribed value or below when anodically oxidizing the aluminum material.
