PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for improving a blocking rate of a reverse osmosis membrane by which a blocking rate can be effectively improved without greatly reducing a permeation flux and even when applied to a remarkably deteriorated membrane.;SOLUTION: In the method for improving the blocking rate of the reverse osmosis membrane, a first organic compound with molecular weight of 200, a second organic compound with molecular weight of ≥200 and 500 and a third organic compound with molecular weight of ≥500 are made to pass through the reverse osmosis membrane. An amino acid or an amino acid derivative is suitable as the first organic compound.
