PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a readout control apparatus, readout control method, imaging apparatus, solid-state imaging apparatus and program enabling shortening the time in which a preview image is not updated during an imaging operation for capturing a still image.;SOLUTION: A readout control apparatus includes a signal read section and a read pixel control section. The signal read section classifies a plurality of pixels disposed on an imaging device into a plurality of groups, reads a still picture signal from each of the classified groups and further, in intervals of the reading time of the still picture signals of the respective classified groups, reads motion picture signals of the respective classified groups.
