PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a composite particle capable of obtaining composite particles with narrow particle size distribution, and in addition, to provide the composite particle obtained by such a method, composite particle-internally added paper to which the composite particles are internally added, and coated paper which includes the composite particles in the coating layer thereof.;SOLUTION: The method for producing a composite particle capable of obtaining the composite particles by compounding inorganic particles includes: a suspension step of obtaining a suspension of the inorganic particles by suspending at least two kinds of particles as the inorganic particles in an aqueous solution of an alkaline silicate; and an aggregation step of agglutinating the inorganic particles by adding a mineral acid to the suspension and precipitating silica on the surfaces of the inorganic particles.
