PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earthquake-resistant epitaph which enables front and rear surfaces of an epitaph body to be effectively utilized to fix an indication plate for indicating information on the deceased, and which can improve earthquake resistance by stabilizing a fixed state of the indication plate.;SOLUTION: An indication plate 29 for indicating information on the deceased, such as a posthumous Buddhist name, can be screw-fixed to front and rear fixing surfaces 26 and 27 of an epitaph body 6. A fixing hole 43 opened on the front and rear fixing surfaces 26 and 27 is provided in a penetrating manner in the epitaph body 6. The fixing hole 43 has large-diameter hole portions 47 and 47 concentrically and continuously provided via step surfaces 46 and 46 on both sides of a central small-diameter hole portion 45. A fixing bolt 49 is inserted through the fixing hole 43, and nuts 50 and 50 screwed to both sides thereof are tightened in the state of being supported by the step surfaces 46 and 46, respectively. Thus, the fixing bolt 49 is fixed to the epitaph body 6. The indication plate 29 abuts on the front and rear fixing surfaces 26 and 27, and a fixing nut 113 is screwed and tightened to a protruding portion of a fixing bolt 59 inserted through upper and lower bolt holes 30.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
