PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device, a method and a program for grasping a position where a patient is in a hospital.SOLUTION: A patient position grasping device comprises: a patient information storing section for storing patient identification information, destination facilities in the hospital and a patient characteristic representing a characteristic of walk traveling; an AP position storing section for storing installation positions of access points; a predicted traveling route storing section for storing a predicted traveling route on which the patient is expected to travel for each patient characteristic; a patient traveling route acquiring section for acquiring and storing an access point where a portable terminal of the patient enters and the patient identification information; a predicted traveling route extracting section for finding the patient characteristic of the patient and a destination facility to extract the predicted traveling route of the patient from the predicted traveling route storing section; and a patient position locating section for locating a patient position at the position of the access point acquired immediately before, and referring to the AP position storing section to find the position when a traveling history route of the patient is included in the predicted traveling route.
