PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control system in which constant periodicity of data for controlling is ensured in a system in which an input/output device and an SOE device are connected through a common communication line.;SOLUTION: The control system comprises a processing unit; the input/output device that transmits a state signal input from a control target to the processing unit, and outputs a control signal transmitted from the processing unit to the control target; and the SOE device that receives the control signal or the state signal, and records a predetermined change as event data. In the control system in which the processing unit, the input/output device, and the SOE device are connected through a common transmission path, the SOE device is equipped with a communication control unit that receives a reading request from the processing unit in a predetermined reception period, and transmits the event data for the reading request to the processing unit in a predetermined transmission period.
