PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for screening an immunosuppressant by using a rodent by which the presence or absence of immunosuppressive activities of a test substance is simply determined in high sensitivity without causing immune reaction by an immunity-stimulating material.SOLUTION: The method for screening the immunosuppressant includes a dosing step for dosing the test substance to the rodent, a collecting step for collecting an immune tissue or an immune cell from the rodent, a measuring step for measuring the expression levels of one or more marker genes in the immune tissue or the immune cell, and a determining step for determining the immunosuppressive activities of the test substance by comparing the expression level (m) of the marker gene with the expression level (n) of the same marker gene in the immune tissue or the immune cell of a control animal to which the test substance is not dosed.
