PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbonization apparatus of a biomass, which needs no reheating of a combustion exhaust gas by an auxiliary fuel and is improved in fuel cost; and to provide a method for producing a carbonized material.;SOLUTION: The carbonization apparatus includes a drying machine to produce a dried material, a carbonization furnace to produce a heat decomposed gas from the dried material, and a combustion furnace to produce a combustion exhaust gas for drying in the drying machine by burning the heat decomposed gas. The combustion furnace has a heat decomposed gas introduction port, a primary combustion air introduction port to form a reductive atmosphere region by introducing a primary combustion air along the flow of the heat decomposed gas, a secondary combustion air introduction port to introduce a secondary combustion air to form an oxidative atmosphere region in the downstream of the reductive atmosphere region, a dried exhaust gas introduction port to introduce a dried exhaust gas exhausted from the drying machine in the downstream of the oxidative atmosphere region and to form a self-denitrification region, a combustion exhaust gas delivery port to exhaust the combustion exhaust gas from the self-denitrification region, and a combustion furnace high-temperature gas extraction port to extract a combustion furnace high-temperature gas used for production of the heat decomposed gas in the carbonization furnace from the oxidative atmosphere region.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
