PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic precipitation method of an electrostatic precipitation apparatus, along with the electrostatic precipitation apparatus and a boiler system, capable of improving a continuous operation performance over a long period of time.SOLUTION: The boiler system includes: fuel supply units 22A, 22B for supplying fuels 23A, 23B, which are supplied to a boiler 11, having different sulfur content compositions; a fuel switching unit 24 for switching the fuel with another fuel having different fuel compositions; an NOx removal device 12 for removing nitrogen oxides in an exhaust gas from the boiler 11; an air preheater 13 for recovering heat in the gas after removal of the nitrogen oxides; an electrostatic precipitation apparatus having an electrostatic precipitator 15 for removing soot while adding an ammonium 14 in the gas after the heat recovery and a soot concentration measurement unit 20; a desulfurizer 17 for removing sulfur oxides in the gas after removal of dust; and a control device 21 for performing control of switching the currently-used fuel (main fuel) 23A to the fuel (low sulfur fuel) 23B having lower sulfur components in the fuel compositions of the fuel supplied to the boiler, when a predetermined threshold of soot amount is measured as a result of the measurement with the soot concentration measurement unit 20.
